Tour de West County

Had my first (what I consider) super-long ride on the bike last week.  I've done a couple 20 milers, a 30 miler and a SERIOUSLY hilly 16 miler, but Saturday was the Tour de West County, a half-century tour (50 miles).  I had a lot of fun, but it was tough towards the middle...I got a little bored and little tired.  Luckily, Gu gels and Sport Beans helped give me a 2nd wind...and a 3rd and 4th.

I've said it before, but this Cannondale CAAD9 5 is fantastic.

It was definitely a nice event, I'd highly recommend it.  They have a 25 mile ride as well.  It benefits the Lance Armstrong Foundation (livestrong) and Emergycare.  I'll definitely be there next year, with some more training miles under my belt.
